Lacrosse is a fast growing sport and the need for officials is higher than ever!
It is generally officiated by two referees and are constantly moving. Knowledge of the game is important as roles when officiating can rotate and change. Communication with your partners, coaches and players is important. Officials attend training each year to grow their development as it is vital to know position and rules regarding the game.
This is a great way to give back to the sport and stay in shape it's a good way to make some money! Whether it is a part-time job or a side hustle - game schedules provide you flexibility.
PenLax has amazing referees that represent our community and we can't have a game without them!
Some Important Details & Registration:
- Referees must be at least 13 years old within that year.
- There is a cap for registration of 25 students per clinic.
- No day-of registration. That means the BCLA office will be collecting names/payments and it's a first come, first serve system for referee registration.
- We will be cancelling clinics if there are not enough participants 48 hours in advance.
